Today I am talking to Anes Trebinjac Treli. The main topic of this conversation will be photography, but not the only one. Anese, I would like to start this conversation with the question of how long you loved photography and when did it become your main hobby?
I would say that I have loved photography since I was a child, and at the age of 12 I started shooting the world around me: portraits, nature, etc. At that time I didn’t even have a photo camera, so I used a old Panasonic video camera and I don’t even remember which type was it.
I only know that as a boy I was running around photographing everything. My first photo camera was the standard one and costed around 200 convertible marks. It was a gift from my parents, I was 16 years old at the time. That’s when my real “obsession” began :). If we can call that obsession? I bought my first serious professional photo camera from my first paid check in 2015. Since then I have been actively pursuing this hobby. I also learned to edit photos professionally.Through finishing various courses.
What types of photography do you like to photograph the most? Are they nature photographs, portraits, art photographs, product photography? For example, the most impressive photos for me are photographs from the equestrian club “Spirit” in Visoko.
Well, I like all kinds of photography, because this is, as I already said, primarily a hobby. it all depends on the mood that am in. Sometimes I will take photos of nature, portraits or events such as sport matches, weddings, etc. I also like to “play” with the camera. That’s when surprisingly beautiful photos appear. They are all equally dear to me.
Has anyone ever hired you to photograph an event. by this question I mean did you get paid?
Hahaha… I am mostly hired by friends and acquaintances, people who know me and know that I do photography. You know this hired me to take a few photos for this blog. I also did photos for Bosnian Doctors for Disabled. I had a few more jobs.
Has anyone hired you without being friend or acquaintance. For example through your social media profiles?
I had one engagement to photograph the wedding, I was contacted by a girl via a my Facebook page. Unfortunately this is a rare occurrence because I don’t have time to work on self-promotion. That is why I still get hired by mostly friends, acquaintances and relatives. One of the things I also like to do is editing photos in photoshop, for exemple place my friends and myself on Hollywood movie posters.
Nature is often a subject in your photos?
I love nature, however, as this pandemic started, I was often sick, so I could not explore nature sites. But I photographed every corner of Ilijaš. 🙂
Since we said this is your hobby. What are you currently doing are you employed?
I work on Federal Television as a web and forum administrator.
I can say that I love this job because this allows me to work with a components of graphic design. My favorite task is creating web banners for the program scheme.
I would like to leave something for last, just to mention it briefly. In short, you are a person with a disability and do you want to say something more about it? Answers for usual questions: How? What, Where…? Questions what people usually ask when they meet you.
Yes like you said I am a person with a disability and I have no problem talking about it. The cause of my disability is a car accident I had in 2004. Then I injured my head, which damaged my eyesight and balance center. I am often asked how can I take photos when I have visual impairment? I briefly explain to them that I have a damaged optic nerve in my right eye and I see double. However, when I take photos, I favor the left eye, and if something is not right in the photo or in the way I imagined it, I edited this later.
